History
The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1985 to alleviating the shortage of physicians in Thailand. Ten years later, in 1995, the faculty obtained its own hospital on the occasion of the 36th birthday of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhon. The Maha Chakri Sirindhon Medical Centre was completed in 2008 to serve as a training place for physicians. By 2005, the faculty of medicine has graduated 735 physicians. Presently, the faculty of medicine is composed of the Prasanmitr campus with five preclinical departments, and the Ongkharak campus with 12 clinical departments.
